A Gift To My Parents

Tuesday, September 22nd, 2009

Holiday season is fast approaching.  And you can observe it when you go around the city. People from all walks of life seems to be very busy in buying gifts for their loved ones.

Well, for me the perfect gift is not always through a material thing. This coming holiday season, I am planning to give my parents a spa treatment. A very relaxing gift that they will surely enjoy. Last night, I search through the web some establishment offering great spa services which fit my budget. From different  boutiques that I have found, there is only one that appeals to me. The boutique that offers a traditional massage techniques in affordable price. It  offers ninety minute massage body scrub treatment which use natural oils, powder and gentle pressure to vigor. It promises the gently sloughs off dead surface of skin, leaving skin with a cool and minty feeling. How I want to feel the masseuse places strips of warmed banana leaves on my limbs,I almost feel the smoothness in it.  I also like to experience the luxurious jacuzzi complete with a foamy rose petal bubble bath. My parents will surely leave the place with shiny looking skin, feeling smooth and healthy.

How refreshing isn’t it?I can’t wait to tell them about this. I’m sure they gonna love it.

Holiday season is in the air.  We can feel it and see it everywhere.  Most establishments, particularly department stores, malls and the likes, adorned with colorful lights and lanterns.  And during this time, we tend to be very busy with our works to earn much money in preparation for  the food to serve in the table on Christmas eve.  We even impress our boss hoping to receive a much higher Christmas bonus.  It was also during this time where we become more generous in giving gifts in cash and in kind.

However, bad elements occur in this season.  This is the time where snatchers, picketers, and hold-uppers are present.  They easily do their dirty tactics to get something valuables from us.  Easy money is their kind of tricks.  There are some instances wherein people risk their lives just to protect their properties.

And to get rid from all of this, here are some tips that I want to share with you to make your holiday shopping free from all kinds of hassles.  Avoid wearing jewelries or gadgets like cellphones, and MP3s in a public places.  Bring money enough only for your shopping.  Be sure to put your wallet and bag in front of your pocket.  And lastly, to avoid the crowded malls and stores, do not be a last minute shopper.

My Lucky Shoes

Sunday, the only time where I can spend my rest day from work to do all the household chores like washing the clothes, cleaning the house, ironing the uniforms of my family for the coming week and going to market for the a one week stock of foods and groceries.

I was busy cleaning my bedroom one Sunday when I  a found a box of shoes under my matrimonial bed.  I got curious to open this box and look what inside it.  Gee! my high heeled shoes.  It was given to me by my sister but hesitant to use it because I am not comfortable to wear such a very high heeled shoes. I remember the time when I first use it.  I am about to use my favorite flat shoes in going to my first job interview when my sister noticed it.  She advised me that it is not fit to use a flat shoes if I am wearing a formal suit. So I decided to use the high heeled shoes.  I remember that I confidently walked to the interviewer’s cubicle, and successfully passed the interview.

I consider this shoes to be my lucky charm, and since then, I used the shoes every time a special occasion comes.
